
The Cage Baseball League offers a unique, technology-driven, game simulation experience for baseball players of 8-9, 10-11, 12-13 and HS ages, who want to develop their hitting skills, have fun, and increase confidence at the plate!

Hittrax Extended Tournaments to Develop a Hitter’s A-Swing Under Gameday Conditions:
Maximum Reps, Nationwide Tournament Competition
6 weeks to play 4 DH’s +playoffs in an “extended” HitTrax tourney, where players sharpen their skills with high-rep hitting development in a competitive HitTrax-only environment. Each week, you’ll play a one-hour doubleheader, facing off against top local teams and skilled hitters from across the country—including Dallas, Miami, New York, Boston, Tulsa, and Seattle. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to elevate your hitting utilizing MLB technology, improve with the use of advanced hitting metrics & video, and prove yourself against other teams posted on the HitTrax National website.
Games are scheduled to avoid Travel Team and HS schedules so as to optimize the value of the opportunity. Most games are late afternoon, early evening, or Sunday AM.
Advanced Metrics: Utilizing HitTrax, Rapsodo, and Blast Motion technology, players get real-time feedback on key metrics like exit velocity, launch angle, distance, and swing path. These are official metrics that coaches use as evaluation tools on a daily basis.
Player Development Programs (optional):
Each participant receives personalized, data-driven training plans based on the results of their in-game performance and practice sessions.
College Exposure Opportunities:
Partnering with college recruiters and recruiting services to help players showcase their talents.
Providing video and statistical profiles for each player, making them accessible to college coaches.
Personal player websites that spotlight each individual player with highlight and technique video, links to each player’s HitTrax and Rapsodo data and vid files, coach contacts, school transcripts, referrals and more (optional)

Rick Dempsey (Commissioner)
Rick played for 24 seasons as a catcher in Major League Baseball from 1969 to 1992 and holds the record for having played behind the plate longer than any catcher in MLB history. Most of his notoriety came for the Baltimore Orioles where he played for 10 years and was a member of the 1983 World Series winning team where he won the World Series MVP. He also won a World Series for the LA Dodgers in 1988. Rick was known for being one of the best defensive catchers of his era. In 1997, he was inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.

Kelly Kleinman (Founder)
Kelly is the co-host and original member of the Prospect Blueprint Podcast along with Co-Host Rick Dempsey. We interview college baseball coaches in order to help players understand what is expected of them at the next level whatever that level is. Kelly also was a coach on the Chicago Cubs Scout Team staff for 4 years, helping to place ballplayers in colleges and summer collegiate baseball leagues. As a local baseball dad, he’s a veteran of the travel ball era having raised twin boys to excel in all formats of the amateur game including Little League (California 11U State Champs), Pony League, and travel ball. Both boys are on D1 scholarships at VCU (Atlantic 10 Champs).
